Weekly Report – Friday 21st October

Jon Kaufmann – 3rd November 2016

The tournament season is now underway. In the annual RBKC borough championships held at the Chelsea Academy, there were wins for Holland Park in the Year 7/8 categories for both girls and boys.

Sion manning girls came runners up and St Thomas More boys took second place. In the year 9-11 sections, Chelsea Academy boys took first and second place whilst Sion Manning did the same in the girls section. Well done to all those who took part and a hearty congratulations to the winning teams.

Now attention turns to the English Schools Championships, with the Under 11 Primary School event being held on Friday 4th November. Matches will be played between 5pm and 7pm at the Chelsea Academy. The usual Friday evening Top Table competition will also run that week.

Congratulations to William Hogarth School for being crowned ESSTA West London Primary School Champions. They will now progress to the all-London Jack Petchey Championships in January where they will fight it out against the other London qualifiers from the North, South, East and Central London tournaments.

Best regards to all. JK
