The RBKC were to have more joy, when in highly predictable fashion, the Fox Primary girls team demolished all their opponents without dropping a single set.
Having taken the national gold medal last year, the girls seemed to be sending out a message that they have no intention of relinquishing their title.
All five girls; Rose, Valentina, Nadia, Louise and Colette have improved considerable since their 2015 gold medal run, so it will be a very good team that stops them being amongst the national medals this year. Their work rate in training has been most impressive and their motivation to succeed has not diminished.
Their closest rivals, Barnes Primary, who took the silver medal at the weekend, have also adopted the same work ethic, so it would not be inconceivable to see another Fox/Barnes national final this year.
