End of an Era at Chelsea Academy
Weekly Report – A treble for West London Ping
Jon Kaufmann – 6th December 2016With the running of the ESTTA London Qualification events now complete, I am pleased to announce that West London Ping scored a formidible ‘treble’ victory winning the South (Barnes), Central (Ashburnham) and West London (William Hogarth) Under 11 boys tournaments In addition, the Barnes and Ashburnham Girls teams will automatically qualify for the Jack Petchey finals on the 14th January.
The ‘Triple’ victory was completed when the Barnes Boys (Ed, Trishton, Cam & Mo) travelled to Whitgift School in Croydon and proceeded to demolish a competent and competitive Whitgift team 8-0. All the above players are now in ready mode for the coming Jack Petchey Finals.
Also, we can report that Richmond Park Academy Under 13 girls team, involving two ex Barnes players, (Jaikalin and Liz) has also qualified for the All London Finals.
There are still two more training sessions at the Chelsea Academy before the winter break, so don’t start winding down too early. There are only two types of players: those that train and those that don’t. Our newly trained team of coaches ( Jacques, Parsa, KIngsley and Brandon) are doing a fantastic job of creating the next generation of WLP players so don’t miss out.
Best regards to all. JK
