West London Ping Expands into Richmond Park
Eamon Brennan – 18th January 2019While all the action was taking place on the table tennis tables, the final touches were being put in place for a new community session to be held at the Richmond Park Academy on Tuesday afternoons starting from Tuesday 5th February.
Primary school children are invited to attend a 4pm to 5.30 session whilst secondary school students can enrol for the later 5.30 to 7pm session. For more details and enrolment forms visit the new website richmondparktt.co.uk or email the club secretary on richmondparktt@gmail.com
This new endeavour will be particularly useful in creating table tennis pathways for youngsters in the south west area of London. From this community session, the stronger players will be encouraged to join the Surrey County development squads held at the Graham Spicer Centre in New Malden, and all players will be encouraged to play in the new programme of London Ranking tournaments being held across the capital.
